During these winter months, our Elementary Principal, Mrs. Wayslaw, thought it would be a good idea to present to all the Kindergarten classrooms on car and seatbelt safety!
This is one of the many things that the Mustang Safety Club looks forward to doing! Five of the high school students currently involved in the Mustang Safety Club worked hard on making a Power Point to present to each Kindergarten class and go over seatbelt safety and how to properly wear your seat belt!
Each student spoke to the Kindergarten classes and presented their slide and explained the different safety tips! Also bus safety!
Thank you to Officer Brockway, Mrs. Wayslaw and the GV students!

Today we had the privilege of having Deputy Helfer and Deputy Paynter from the Ashtabula County Sheriff's Department and a Officer Ryhal of the Orwell Police Department all come to speak with the students today at the Mustang Safety Club meeting.
Each officer introduced themselves and explained why they became a police officer. Deputy Helfer explained what is needed to become a police officer and different duties. Students had lots of questions and the officers answered and explained their daily activities and all the different roles a police officer takes on throughout their career.
We discussed with students the physical shape you need to be in and officers and students ran sprints to see who is the fastest! Student Keenan K. won a water bottle for being the fastest student in the foot race! Some other students won other prizes as well!

Congratulations to our Lady Mustangs for clinching a share of the CVC Valley Championship tonight vs Berkshire! This is the first championship for Lady Mustangs Basketball since 1989! The Girls will go for the outright championship next Wednesday at home vs Cardinal. Please come and support them.

GV Families:
Calls and texts for no school tomorrow are rolling out slowly.
The company that does our auto calls said it is a "nationwide issue and calls will be delayed."
We apologize if the call or text comes through later this evening.
Stay warm GV 💙
