Good Morning everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your summer. I am excited to share some news with you.
As indicated in our board policy, Grand Valley High School students have the opportunity to take part in a Physical Education (PE) waiver. Any student who has participated in two seasons of interscholastic athletics, marching band, show choir, or cheerleading, will be eligible to waive the PE graduation credit. This is a great opportunity for students to open up time in their day to take additional coursework. If your child is enrolled for the 23-24 school year in Physical Education and would like to take advantage of the PE waiver, and has met or is working toward meeting the criteria to take advantage of the waiver (completing the 2 full seasons), please email Mrs. Brumit over the summer to adjust your child’s schedule at carrie.brumit@grandvalley.school.
Thank you and keep enjoying the summer, and bring back the sunshine!
Roberta A. Cozad
Grand Valley High School
Principal

Attention Senior Class of 2024:
We have new and exciting news for you! This year, we are bringing you a new opportunity! The students of the class of 2024 will be the first class that is permitted to design and paint their own parking space! Please note, if you plan to do this, you must follow the guidelines in the attached PDF that will be emailed to you via Final Forms and sent by text.
Beginning 8/1/23, you can come to the HS office and pay for your space, as well as any fees you still have to pay. All designs and proof of payment must be sent to Mr. Nims via email or dropped off at the HS office (starting 8/1/23) no later than 8/11/23.
Let's make our parking lot personalized by our senior class!

Grand Valley Families, Although Final Forms has information up for the new 2023-2024 school year, please wait until July 1st to start updating information for your child. There are forms that still may have revisions and updates and filling out these forms before July could lead to a parent having to fill them out again. Thank you for your cooperation!

Congratulations to Dylan and Bobby on a great track and field season!

Thanks to legendary, Mustang Head Football Coach Jim Henson for coming back and talking to our players about the Tradition of Mustang Football!

More from Safety Day!

More from Safety Day!

As the year comes to an end, we work towards educating our students on "Safety Tips" to get them through the summer months. We were excited to hold a "Safety Day" here at Grand Valley Local Schools! The department talked about bike safety, stranger danger, fire safety, interactions with a peace officer and first aid. We want to thank all the local agencies that came and participated yesterday! Orwell Village Fire Department, South Central Ambulance District, UH AirMed 1, Windsor Township Fire Rescue and Orwell Police Department.
Thank you to the Grand Valley Staff for your patience and cooperation during the day.

Good luck to our Boys Track State qualifiers as they head off to Columbus!

Congrats to these hard working young men on earning All StarBeacon/Ashtabula County Recognition!
Casey Turner - 1st Team
Eric Ellsworth - 2nd Team
Blake Taylor - Honorable Mention

Today we had a fire alarm caused by a faulty sensor. Everyone evacuated safely and properly. The fire department has cleared everyone to return to school and we are back to normal business. Everyone is safe and classes has resumed.
Thank you!

Great job by the Grand Valley Mustang Band today at the Memorial Day parade.

Thanks to everyone who came out and volunteered today to get the new weight room started!

Congratulations to David Steimle 7th in the 3200 at regionals!
