Joined by Mrs. Turk of the Ashtabula Foundation, these students discussed how their work with the agency will impact the lives of our local Ashtabula County residents.

To GV Families from Dr. Nye:
Yesterday there was an incident here at school that involved a weapon (not a firearm). We have had our SRO/Local authorities involved and have been cooperating with them.
We take the safety of our children/staff/community members very seriously. I can tell you that there is no threat at this time to the school, any student or staff member and everything is completely safe.
To be more precise, there was no threat soon after the incident as administrators and law enforcement were on the case immediately.
We wanted to get this to you all as soon as the investigation was completed at our level.
Other authorities may move on further with their investigations and, again, everyone is safe and we will continue school and business as usual.

and understanding when these issues present themselves.
