To the Grand Valley Students, Staff, Families, and Community:
This is regarding the safety drill that we communicated to the public that will be conducted in October. On our professional development day, we practiced the drill without students. An evaluation of the practice drill was assessed. Recommendations from our First Responders led to the conclusion that more planning needs to be done prior to running such a large-scale drill in front of students. Therefore, after communicating with all of the safety forces, we will be conducting the drill in the spring.
As we get closer and continue to work out the details, we will proceed to update you as a community. As always, thank you for your patience and understanding.
